People are living longer than ever before, but it is not our duration of life which is important. It is also a quality of life. The health conscious are turning their attention more and more to what they can do to remain physically fit no matter what their age and not be prey to the kind of wear and tear on the body and joints that can lead to stiffness, pain and perhaps even disability.
There is, therefore, a growing interest in kinesiology (pronounced kin-KNEE-zee-AH-low-gee) and muscle testing. Kinesiology is the study of the principles of mechanics and anatomy in relation to human movement. It comes from the Greek word kinesis, or movement. Through kinesiology, various health practitioners can help support patients in their quest for a better body.
